Luke 6:46: “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I tell you?”

In Matthew 10:34, Yeshua makes one of His most shocking and frequently misunderstood statements: "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword."

Matthew 7:21–23 – Demonstrates the ultimate consequence of self-deception, where individuals convinced of their spiritual security based on active ministry will be turned away for living in disregard of the Father's commandments.

Matthew 1:21: The angelic instruction only makes sense linguistically in Hebrew:
"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Yeshua [יֵשׁוּעַ]: for he shall save [yoshia / יוֹשִׁיעַ] his people from their sins."

: Whoever claims to live in Him must live as Yeshua did." — 1 John 2:3–6

Yet look at Jesus Christ—the only person to walk the earth and never sin.

The prohibition against adding to or subtracting from God's word is an essential principle stated at the beginning, middle, and end of the biblical text.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF BIBLICAL NUMBERS

Being set apart means allowing the Spirit and the Word to burn off the cynicism, rebellion, compromises, and habits of the surrounding culture until the character of Yeshua is clearly reflected in your everyday conduct.

explaining that no human has ascended up into heaven

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

It strips away outward pretense and brings everything back to whether one has genuinely turned to Yeshua in loving obedience.

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 7:21)

Selective Following: People often adopt the comforting aspects of the message—grace, forgiveness, and eternal assurance—while ignoring the demanding commands regarding integrity, charity, and self-denial.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood."

According to Yeshua, the grand final signal isn't hidden—it is a total cosmic blackout followed by a blinding supernatural light.

Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.

Halting these practices was the non-negotiable first step for incoming converts so they could break from idolatry and share a table with Jewish believers without causing division.

Confessing Total Dependence: Crying out from the depths of our need, trusting that His unfailing grace is our only path to redemption and peace.

The blood of the covenant covers a person's bondage to sin. Rather than just pardoning past mistakes, it delivers believers from the ongoing power and mastery of sin, offering them the spiritual freedom to live a transformed life.

2 Corinthians 3:3: The Apostle Paul highlights this exact shift, describing believers as "an epistle of Christ... written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart."

Together, these passages emphasize that outward observance of sacred days should not be used to judge or divide believers.

Absence of "Unclean": The passage does not frame the issue as eating biblically unclean animals (such as pork or shellfish). It focuses on dietary scruples, vegetarianism, and personal convictions of conscience before God.

The Pharisees challenged Jesus because His disciples ate with "unwashed hands," breaking the oral traditions of the elders rather than the written Mosaic Law.

"And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read."

— Luke 4:16

To fulfill the instruction is to preserve it intact

God’s deliverance of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt and serving as the primary biblical foreshadowing of redemption.

But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean."
